Abstract

Includes evidence from Maude Royden, Sidney Webb, Catherine Bramwell-Booth, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Marie Stopes, Rider Haggard, Maud Pember Reeves, and others. The National Birth-rate Commission was set up by the National Council of Public Morals for Great and Greater Britain, Commission of Inquiry into the Declining Birth-rate to investigate causes of the declining birth rate in Great Britain at that time.
